The final project in my field production class was due on April 30th. It was a short film that my group had been working on since January. We had finished filming on April 28th and were finishing editing the night of the 29th. I left my house to have dinner with my parents and, while I was gone, had set the project to copy from one hard drive to another.

While I was gone, two guys broke into the house. They made off with 4 laptops, 5 cameras, and our sense of security. They ripped my computer out of the wall while the short film was backing up. Luckily, they didn’t steal the hard drives and we were able to finish the film to turn in the following morning.
