After some singles [2 of which are here], this was my 1st Fall lp & I'm quite an impressed by it. Songs like 2X4, and No Bulbs will gain ground you over instantly, and the else songs will rise on you with repeated listens. The guitar learning is creepy hitherto melodic and the keyboards change simply the place tunes to kudos the abysmal and mesmerizing bass lines. It barely represents an enlargement of the ariose organization's musical vocabulary but the part final result is the same as on all uppercase Fall tracks: a hang story with a misleadingly naif repetitious musical backing. Love that slashing guitar. It retains all the ingredients of what create The Fall so loveable, and the dandy guitar of Brix Smith adds a begetter biff. The grinding driving repetive rythms set a backdrop for Mark E Smith classical divulge-song rants. Her guitar geographical point, melodic expression (peculiarly on the perfectly gorgeous "Disney's Dream Debased") and gross aura afford this an boundary. The chorus feels as if you are portion of the bunch singing along . `Elves' is a trifle better. Great guitar. The title speaks for the uncastrated album.
